Lagoon

I love when you capture that moment in a picture,
where you wonder what in the world they are thinking!
She is actually at this ride wondering what in the world
were we thinking going to Lagoon in September when
it was cold and Rainy. It only rained for a bout 30 min.
and it was during this ride.
Even though this picture was blurry because they were
moving fast, I love the smile on Aubrey's face she was
having fun!
She tried to wave here but was barely fast enough and
it was in her face.
I love that even on a ride having fun they were looking
for their parents to say Hi. What good kids I have!
It was so fun to see our kids so carefree and daring.

No I was not bored, I enjoyed the day so
much! Rod was so good, but this is his
favorite position on the ground with his
cars, I didn't have the heart to not let him
do it for a minute. He had sat so good all
day watching from his stroller.

Rod loved watching for the kids on the rides, He was
so good and never really restless, he just enjoyed watching.
Music express! This was the girls favorite ride. We even
went back later and I rode with them. They really
wanted mom to experience it. I tried to explain I had
been to lagoon almost every year from 12 years into my
20's but they wanted to see me enjoy it as much as they
were. Again I have great kids!

The Tidlewave! If you look close you can see Rich, the
big guy in the yellow shirt with his arm in the air. The
Kids were not too sure about this ride it was a little
intense for them. But Rich loves this ride and wanted to
go with them.
This was Rods favorite ride(the others he screamed on)
He loved ringing the bell! The boats went slow enough
for him. He still cried he wanted me, but he enjoyed most
of it.

I love Rod's face here, he is scared to death, what is going
on!! And Aubrey looks completely bored!
This is where he still isn't too sure.
And this is where he started screaming!!
I wasn't fast enough to get Chance from the front, but
here is his lovely head.
I wouldn't pull that tigers tail Chance!!
Shaylee is the Queen of funny faces in
pictures! This was our very first ride and
it was perfect!
Aubrey my poser! Such a princess.
Rod loved this!! Isn't he so cute!

I love this face on chance! Such a nut! We had so much
fun. Chance was the most daring. The only kid that
went on the upside down rollercoaster with his dad.
Shaylee went on the white roller coaster with her mom.
That was fun! We went on the ride after Rich went with
Aubrey or chance. The line was stopped when we went
so it was a long wait. Rich had lost his hat so I was going
to ask about it. Finally the ride started moving. When we
were done I was walking out and in the booth saw Rich's
hat I said that it was ours could I have it. They gave it to
me and with a laugh said it was the hat on the tracks that
held the ride up while they went out to get it! Funny!
We saved a whole summer as a family to go to Lagoon.
It meant a lot to us as a family. We went to Layton the
night before and stayed in a Hotel. We went to dinner
and swimming. I think that might have been even more
fun than Lagoon.

Bloomington lake summer 2011

We love going to Bloomington lake. As a family we
usually go on a sunday afternoon and have a nice walk
and picnic. This year we ended up going on a monday
so the kids wanted to swim. Notice at the bottom of the
hill is still snow, so yes the water was COLD!!!!
Isn't this just gorgeous. We had a great hike as a family.
Even Rodney walked the whole way and being 1 and a
half thats a pretty big accomplishment. This is the
small lake before you reach Bloomington lake.
Rachel posing beautifully!
Ella and Enoch posing for the camera.
Caleb was the first brave one. It was so funny to watch
his expressions, and breathing! It was COLD!
He looks like its no big deal but it took him
20 minutes standing like this taking baby
steps to get deeper, breathing deeply each
step.
Then in go the girls, crazy kids!
Aubrey wanted to go swimming, and was mad we would
not let her. The water is so cold that you go too numb to
keep swimming and quickly get hypothermia. Many
people have drown in this lake thinking they are good
swimmers they try to swim across and go numb before
they can. It only took a minute for my feet to have no
feeling.
The water is so clean and clear at this lake. There is a
large log or rock in the water we said looked like the bear
lake monster. When Aspen's feet touched it unknowingly
she completely freaked out. Screaming like a mad
woman. It was completely hilarious to watch!
As time went on more and more of us just had to put our
feet in.
Cute Jodi taking pictures and video.
someone gave Rich a camera and he had
to pose?
Rodney and mommy. Rodney had so much fun playing
with the capri sun straw, I love the intense concentration
he has on his face. In the back ground of this picture is
a soking wet Andy. She dove in the lake, having never
been there before. She is a very strong swimmer and
was upset when I would not let her swim across. She
said she could swim miles. Yes but in freezing water?

Oh my cute little trooper! We love this lake it is a
beautiful site to see we are so blessed to live so close to
such a wonderful place. This is one of my favorite trips
so far, it was fun to see the kids be adventurous. Next
year will be even better, because there is a rope swing,
next year we will be even more prepared!

Miss Bearlake Pageant

And the new Miss Bearlake is.... Jessica Passey. During
the summer a client of mine, a real cute girl Jessica Passey
called and asked if I would be her hostess for the pageant
I thought sure I have never done that before. So there
was a lot of meetings, and practices. Ten that night I
did her hair and makeup and helped her inbetween
different sections of the pageant. I felt honored she asked
and felt excited if my helping her to be beautiful in a small
way helped her win.
Shaylee and Aubrey were excited to see
the pageant after all I had told them. It
is a great way for the girls to gain confindence
and meet other girls. The girls in the
pageant are trying to win money for school.

This is Marisa, she is shaylee's best friend Hannah's sister.
Shaylee was excited to see her.

Aubrey just loves this stuff, getting all pretty! She
enjoyed watching. I hope someday one of my girls wants
to do this pageant. I am not a big pageant lover and was
hesitant to be a part, but they teach the girls so many
wonderful things and there was not moms involved!

Moving Day

we had so many great helpers come to move us out. as
you can see from the wet trailor it was raining cats and
dogs!!! everything got wet.
This is Chance's old room just the junk left now!
Shaylee felt the things on the wall were the last to be
packed.
